273/366: Salzburg

On Day 273, we took a train from Munich to Salzburg, Austria.  This is a view of the city from the Hohensalzburg Fortress, located at the top of a steep but worthwhile climb.

This solitary house was the executioner’s house.  No homes were built around it as it was considered bad luck to live near the executioner.

A glimpse of the mountains from inside the fortress.

A spot like this was a goldmine for my selfies project.

This one is my favorite, even though I couldn’t move back quickly enough to get his whole arm and hand in the frame.

Two benches in the Mirabell Palace and Gardens, where several scenes from The Sound of Music were filmed.

Love padlock on the Makart Bridge.
