50/366: Oma’s Needlepoint

A fellow blogger’s comment on yesterday’s post made me think of my paternal grandmother, appropriately so since today would have been her 93rd birthday, and Friday marked 25 years since she passed.  Twenty-five years!  Where in the world does time go?  I still miss her quick wit, her incredible cooking, our late-night conversations,  her intensity when playing  Mensch Ärgere Dich Nicht, how she snorted when she laughed really hard, and how when she got together with her sisters, they’d all get tipsy and start parading around with the bathmat or some other crazy object draped over their shoulders.  Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Geburtstag, meiner geliebten Oma!
